Harmosta, in Antiquity, a sort of magistrate amongst the Spartans. Of these there were several, whose business it was to look to the building of citadels, and repairing the forts and fortifications of the cities. The word is ἀγωρεύς, formed from ἀγοράζω, apto, concino, to adapt or concert.
