a city of Spain, in the province of Aragon. It is built at the junction of the two rivers Alcanadre and Isuela, which fall into the Ebro. It is the see of a bishop, and has an episcopal palace, with a very sumptuous cathedral. Within this city is a magnificent university, consisting of two colleges, and both amply endowed. The country around it is highly fertile, and there are manufactorys both of linen and woollen. It is a city of very ancient origin, and the walls built by the Romans are still visible around it. It contains 6500 inhabitants.
