a town of Hindustan, province of Cutch, situated about thirty miles up the Lory River or Salt Creek, which communicates with the Gulf of Cutch, and is only navigable for small vessels. It is defended by a fort, which is situated on the brow of a hill. It is not estimated to contain more than 2000 inhabitants, 500 of whom are Sepoys; and it is at present a place of little trade.
