a town of Switzerland, in the canton of Zurich, standing on the eastern side of the lake of that name, in a beautiful situation. It contains 2360 inhabitants, who prosper by agriculture, and by considerable manufactures of silk and cotton goods; and the place is celebrated for the abundance and excellence of the fruit grown in it.
