a market-town of Cornwall, in the parish of St Hillary and hundred of Penwith. It is sometimes called Market Jew. Marzion is 278 miles from London, being situated on an arm of the sea known as Mounts Bay, near the Land's End. The buildings are indifferent, and the harbour not very commodious. There is a market on Thursday. The population amounted in 1801 to 1009, in 1811 to 1022, in 1821 to 1253, and in 1831 to 1393.
