a city of the province Basilicata in the kingdom of Naples, being the seat of a Bishop, to whose see Napolla is united. It is situated on the river Antroluco, near its junction with the Ofanto, and contains, besides a cathedral, fourteen churches, eight monasteries, and 7400 inhabitants.
