one of the Philippine Isles, a hundred and ten miles in length, by about twenty-five in average breadth, and situated due south from the southwest extremity of the island of Luzon. The interior is mountainous, but sloping towards the sea-coast; the whole covered with trees, and making a beautiful appearance from the sea-coast. The island is well inhabited, though the Spaniards have a few establishments there. Long. 120° 24' to 121° 24'. E. Lat. 12° 21' to 13° 30'. N.
