a cluster of islets and sand-banks on the coast of Brazil, between 17 and 18 degrees S. Lat. The islets are low, covered with grass and a little scattered brushwood. They consist of gneiss and sandstone in horizontal strata, and their highest point rises about 100 feet above the level of the sea.
