Charles, an English poet in the reign of Charles I. He published two poems, entitled *The Battalies of Cressy* and *Poictiers*, and several other pieces and translations. He succeeded his father as clerk of the ordnance, and was commissary-general of the artillery to the king at the battle of Edgehill. He died in 1640.
