a town in Lincolnshire, 24 miles N.N.E. of Boston. It has a free grammar school, founded in 1576, with fellowships in Magdalen College, Cambridge; and some breweries, tanneries, and rope-works. In the vicinity is the medicinal spring called Holy Well, discovered in 1670. Pop. in 1851, 2262.
