the name of a province and of a very beautiful city in Bokhara, supposed to be the same with that which is now called Tashkend, the capital of the eastern part of Turkistan, possessed by the Kassats. It is situated on the river Sihon, now Sirr, and had a well-watered garden for every house; but was ruined by Jenghis Khan, who took the city, and caused a great number of its inhabitants to be massacred.
