CHRISTOPHER, a German painter, born at Amberg, who obtained reputation chiefly by his portraits, carefully finished in the style of Holbein. His historical pieces are small, hard, and dry, and are chiefly to be seen in his native place. He died in 1568, about 78 years of age.
