a city of the kingdom of Bavaria, in the circle of Lower Franconia, 24 miles south of Aschaffenburg. It is situated at the junction of the rivers Mudau and Bill, and has a castle, the residence of the princes of Leiningen, and once a very rich Benedictine abbey, two churches, a chapel, an almshouse, and manufactures of cloth, paper, &c.
