(bis and σώμα), or DISOMUM, in Roman Antiquity, a sarcophagus or tomb, for two dead bodies, or their ashes. The sepulchres of the primitive Christians were inscribed with the words bisomoi, trisomoi, quadrismoi, &c., to indicate the number of bodies deposited in them.
