(French *Blane*), literally signifies white. *Blancas*, or *Blanca*, was a kind of white or silver money, of base alloy, coined by Henry V. in those parts of France which were then subject to England. It was valued at 8d. sterling.

**BLANK** also denotes a small copper coin, formerly current in France, at the rate of five deniers Tournois.
