His era is uncertain; but as he executed a statue of Seleucus king of Syria, and contributed, along with Timotheus and other artists, to adorn the Mausoleum, it may be placed in the latter half of the fourth century B.C. His skill may be inferred from the fact, that several of his statues were at different times attributed to Phidias.
