a town of Galilee, not far from Capernaum, where Christ performed his first miracle by turning water into wine. Cana is not mentioned in the Old Testament. It has been identified with the modern Kefl Kenna, a small village about four miles N.E. from Nazareth, where there are the remains of an ancient Greek church.
