Camillo, a native of Mantua, who lived in the sixteenth century, and wrote a book entitled *Lo Stratagemma di Carlo IX.*, which is an account of the massacre on St Bartholomew's day. It is, however, blended with some fictions.
Lelio, younger brother of the preceding, was born at Mantua in 1498, and distinguished himself by some centos of Virgil which display considerable ingenuity. His several Latin poems are inserted in the *Delicia Poetarum Italorum*. He died in 1560. His brother Julio was also distinguished as a man of letters.
