a town of Spain, province of Seville, on the Sierra Morena, in the neighbourhood of extensive marble quarries, and mines of silver, iron, sulphur, and copper, from which, as well as from agriculture, it derives its trade. In the suburbs are remains of Roman and Moorish antiquities. Its manufactures are purely domestic. Pop. 6552.
