(from κεῖμαι, to be laid up) in Antiquity, treasures or other things stored up as valuable in a ceimearchium, i.e. a storehouse or repository. Thus, sacred vestments, plate, and the like, are the ceimelia of a church. Medals, antique stones, manuscripts, &c., are the ceimelia of men of letters.
