CHRISTOPHER (1537–1612), a German Jesuit and mathematician, born at Bamberg. He was employed to rectify the calendar, and undertook a defence of it against Scaliger. His works, in five vols. fol., contain a Commentary on Euclid's Geometry, and other elementary treatises.
