r Cumber, a small market-town of Ireland, county of Down, at the N.W. extremity of Lough Strangford, 8 miles E.N.E. of Belfast. The town is tolerably well built, and in 1851 had 1790 inhabitants, chiefly employed in the linen manufacture.
