a town of Spain, on the Amarguilla, province of and 36 miles S.E. of the city of Toledo. Pop. about 5000, principally engaged in the manufacture of coarse woollens. It contains various Roman inscriptions and antiquities; and on a neighbouring hill are remains of its ancient castle.
