Volume 7 · 68 words · 1860 Edition

in Grecian Antiquity, a festival celebrated more particularly at Athens in honour of Cronos (Saturn). Cronstadt, on the 12th of the month Hecatombion, which was the first month of the Attic year, and corresponded nearly to our July. The more ancient name of this month was Cronius.
