DEMI-George, in Fortification, that part of the polygon which remains after the flank is raised, and which stretches from the curtain to the angle of the polygon. It is half of the vacant space or entrance into a bastion.

DEMI-Quaver, or Semi-Quaver, in Music, a note equal in value to half a quaver.

DEMI-Semiquaver, a note equal to half a demi-quaver.

Demigod, one partaking of a divine nature: a general appellation of the inferior deities of Greece and Italy, more particularly of those fabulous heroes who were the mixed offspring of a divinity and a mortal.
