r TATA, a town of Hungary, county of Kőmorn, and 12 miles S.E. of the town of that name. It consists of the Upper and the Lake town, the latter so called from a small lake in its vicinity. In the neighbourhood are several mineral springs, and stone and marble quarries. Pop. about 8000.
