The town is tolerably well built, and is ornamented with numerous public fountains. The principal buildings are the court-house, prison, clock-tower, and hospital. Draguignan has a public library of 15,000 vols., botanical garden, natural history museum, communal college, and a society of agriculture, besides manufactures of broad cloths, silks, stockings, soap, leather, brandy, and earthenware.
