a market-town of King's County, Ireland, at the N.E. extremity of the bog of Allen, 33 miles W. of Dublin. It is a neat, clean, and comparatively prosperous town; and has a considerable trade in corn. Pop. (1851) 1804, besides 1023 in the Union workhouse.
