a town in the Prussian province of Silesia, government of Oppeln, and 35 miles S.E. of the town of that name; on the Klodnitz, and on the railway between Oppeln and Cracow. It is the seat of a royal mining board, and has very extensive iron-works. Pop. (1849) 8506.
