a town in the Prussian province of Pomerania, and government of Stettin, on the Rega, 45 miles N.E. of Stettin. It is the capital of a cognominal circle, the seat of a court of justice, and has important manufactures of woollen and linen cloths, hats, and leather. Pop. (1849) 4975, including the military. There are several smaller towns of this name in Germany.
