a town of Saxony, circle of Leipzig, on the Mulde, 16 miles S.E. of Leipzig. In the middle ages Grima was an important commercial town. It has a bridge over the river; an old castle; manufactures of cotton, linen, and woollen stuffs; mathematical, surgical, and musical instruments; and some trade. Pop. (1849) 5384.
