Danish Haderslev, a seaport-town of Denmark, duchy of Schleswig, and 48 miles north of the town of that name. It stands in a pleasant valley on the Hadersleben Fiord, which is about 9 miles in length, and communicates with the Little Belt. It has three churches, a gymnasium, and some trade, but the harbour is accessible only to small vessels. Pop. 6136.
