a small town of England, county of Surrey, 8 miles S.S.W. of Godalming. It is an ancient borough, and, previous to the passing of the Reform Act, by which it was disfranchised, it returned two members to parliament. The parish church is an ancient edifice with a low square tower. Pop. of parish (1851) 955.
