a mountain of Arabia Petraea, on the confines of Idumaea, and forming part of the mountain of Seir or Edom. It is generally regarded as the modern Jebel Haroun, or Mount Aaron, lying midway between the Dead Sea and the Elanitic Gulf. On the summit of this hill is a tomb, venerated by the Mohammedans as the sepulchre of the high priest Aaron.
