SAN, a town of Segovia, Spain, and 6 miles S.E. of Segovia. It stands on the northern slope of the Sierra de Guadarrama, at a height of 3840 feet above the level of the sea. Its royal palace of La Granja is the usual residence of the court during several of the hottest months. San Ildefonso is noted for its royal glass manufactory. Pop. about 5000.
