Sr., a town of France, department of Haute-Vienne, and arrondissement of Rochechouart, on the right bank of the Vienne, at its confluence with the Glane, 8 miles N.E. of Rochechouart. It is built in the form of an amphitheatre, and is surrounded by boulevards, planted with trees, and commanding pleasant prospects of the surrounding country. The inhabitants are actively engaged in the manufacture of serge, blankets, gloves, hats, woollen cloths, leather, and earthenware. Pop. 5500.
