or ZEITUN, a town of Greece, capital of the government of Phthitis, is situated near the head of the Gulf of Volo, not far from the Turkish frontier. It is generally well built, and is said to bear a considerable resemblance to Athens. It has a citadel, barracks, and military hospital. Pop. about 4000.
