a seaport-town of France, department of Finistère, in the valley of the Landerneau or Elorn, 13 miles N.E. from Brest. The chief articles of its commerce are, linen goods and thread, glazed hats, leather, military equipments, honey, Dutch cheese, wax, corn, and horses. Vessels of 400 tons burthen can enter its harbour, and about 700 are said to visit it yearly. Pop. 5113.
