or Lubea, a town of Prussian Silesia, on the left bank of the Queis, 40 miles W.S.W. of Liegnitz. It is walled with four gates, and is the seat of judicial courts for the circle. It has a Roman Catholic and three Protestant churches, a gymnasium, orphan asylum, and two hospitals. Chief manufactures, linen and woollen stuffs. Pop. (1849) 6261.
