or MARCELIN, St., a town of France. Marcellus, capital of a cognominal arrondissement in the department of Isère, is situated at the foot of a beautiful slope near the right bank of the Isère, 21 miles W.S.W. of Grenoble. It is surrounded by walls, and is generally well built. Its chief manufacture is earthenware, and it has some trade in silk and wines. Pop. (1851) 3344.
