(the ancient Minius), a river of Spain, rising in the N.E. part of the province of Galicia, about 30 miles N.E. of Santiago, and flowing southward till it reaches the borders of Portugal. It then takes a westerly direction, and forms the boundary between Galicia and Portugal to the sea, which it enters at Caminha, after a course of about 130 miles.
