a town of Naples, in the province of Calabria Citra, picturesquely situated on a conical hill on the western slope of Monte Polino, 5 miles W.N.W. of Castrovillari. The summit of the hill is occupied by an ancient Gothic castle; and the town has some manufactures of silk and woollen stuffs. Pop. 8352.
