(anc. Peloponnesus) forms the southern part of Greece, and one of the three great divisions of that kingdom. It extends in N. Lat. from 36. 23. 20. to 38. 26. 4., and in E. Long. from 21. 5. to 23. 29., being 7920 square miles. (See GREECE.)
