a town of Prussia, province of Brandenburg, and government of Potsdam, on the Havelbach, 23 miles W.N.W. of Berlin. It contains a church, town-house, and hospital; and has manufactures of linen, beer, and brandy. The greater part of the town was burnt down in 1830. Pop. 4220.
