a town of Prussia, in the government of Breslau, 16 miles W.N.W. of the town of that name. It has Protestant and Roman Catholic churches, and several courts of law. Manufactures of tobacco, tiles, woollen and linen stuffs, and paper, are carried on here; and there is a market for corn. Pop. 4320.

NEUMÜNSTER, a town of Denmark, in the duchy of Holstein, 17 miles S.S.W. of Kiel. It is large and well built, and has a church in the Italian style of architecture. The manufactures are considerable, consisting principally of cloth and metal buttons. Pop. 4700.
