or OBERHEINHEIM, a town of France, in the department of Lower Rhine, 14 miles N. of Schlestadt. It is ill built; and has a large town-hall, college, and hospital; while in the vicinity are the ruins of a palace and a convent. Calico, leather, hats, soap, bricks, earthenware, nails, &c., are made here. The town was once fortified; and has sustained several sieges. Pop. 5356.
