a town of Holland, in the province of North Brabant, 5 miles N.E. of Breda. It has a townhouse, churches, and schools. There are here potteries, producing a kind of earthenware which is highly prized; besides breweries, tanneries, corn-mills, &c. Some trade is carried on in corn, timber, and cloth. Pop. 7500.
