a small town of Cheshire, on the right bank of the estuary of the Dee, 10 miles N. by W. of Chester. It is neatly and regularly built, and is much frequented for sea-bathing. The harbour is obstructed by a sand-bank; but it is a station for packets sailing to Ireland. A fine view of the coast of Flintshire may be obtained from the town.
