a town of Prussia, in the government of Stettin, on the Ucker, 27 miles W. by N. of Stettin. It is surrounded by walls; and has a court of law, churches, hospitals, and several breweries. The town is ancient, and once belonged to the Hanseatic League. Some trade is still carried on. Pop. 7217.
