a town of Spain, in the province of Alicante, 44 miles N.E. of the town of that name. It is generally clean and well built, and has a court-house, church, schools, hospitals, &c. Woollen stuffs are manufactured here; and there are mills for rice, flour, and oil. Pop. 5565.
